Mikey Coy first opened the Brushworks location in 1997 as a gift shop to sell the silver pieces she brought back from trips to Mexico. It was her fondness of Mexican art and pottery that first inspired her to begin creating her own whimsical pottery pieces.
Often, the themes and styles she incorporates into her one-of-a-kind pottery are echoed in her original oil paintings.
